PURPOSE STATEMENT
To develop ideas and to organize one or more special events that will raise non-dues income.

GOALS
To organize one or more events that will:

  • Involve members in the social aspects of the Chamber
  • Provide a networking opportunity different from the Chamber's normal business-to-business events
  • Raise non-dues money in order to keep the membership dues at an affordable level for all businesses
  • Generate enthusiasm and awareness about the Chamber throughout the community

PROJECTS

  • Wellington Chamber Afghan (potential net $6,000)
  • Drawing
  • Change the door prize to a $1 per ticket fundr-aiser.
  • Flavors of Wellington (potential net $15,000) Initial year (2004)
  • 3 on 3 Basketball tournament (2005)
  • Business Expo (2004)

Total Projected Alternate Income for 2002/2003 - $29,500.00

BENEFIT STATEMENT
Increased income generated by special activates will enable the Chamber to become less dependent upon membership dues for the general operation of the organization.
