Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center 3377 N. State Road 7, Wellington 341-7000 | www.jdch.com Residents of Wellington now have access to one of the most respected names in pediatric care. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH) opened a Health Specialty Center in the Village in February 2019. The first JDCH specialty center of its kind in the Palm Beaches north of Boca Raton, the Wellington outpatient clinic employs medical professionals in a number of specialties—including audiology, cardiology, craniofacial, a cystic fibrosis clinic, endocrinology, general surgery, immunology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, otolaryngology and pulmonology. At 30,000 square feet, the freestanding facility also houses comprehensive imaging (MRI and ultrasound), outpatient surgery and rehabilitation services. The center features the same kid-friendly décor and playful philosophy that have helped alleviate the patient experience for children at the hospital’s flagship location in Hollywood.

Wellington Regional is proud to have provided high-quality health care services to the residents of Palm Beach County since 1986. In 2018, Wellington Regional opened The Weight Management Center, which provides personalized, physician-directed weight management solutions in a newly renovated facility. As of August 2020, it was one of six sites in the country participating in a phase 2/3 clinical trial of the IV medication Dociparastat Sodium (DSTAT) to determine if it can accelerate recovery and prevent the need for ventilators in patients severely affected by COVID-19. The randomized, double blind, placebo[1]controlled trial will evaluate and determine the safety and efficacy of DSTAT in adults with confirmed COVID19 who require hospitalization and are at high risk for respiratory failure, supplemental oxygen and possible ICU-level care.
