The 80-bed, all-private-room, state-of-the-art hospital provides general medical, surgical and intensive care services; 24-hour adult and pediatric emergency care; diagnostic imaging; rehabilitation; and laboratory and inpatient pharmacy services. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center 3377 N. State Road 7, Wellington 341-7000 | Residents of Wellington now have access to one of the most respected names in pediatric care. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH) opened a Health Specialty Center in the Village in February 2019. The first JDCH specialty center of its kind in the Palm Beaches north of Boca Raton, the Wellington outpatient clinic employs medical professionals in a number of specialties—including audiology, cardiology, craniofacial, a cystic fibrosis clinic, endocrinology, general surgery, immunology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, otolaryngology and pulmonology. At 30,000 square feet, the freestanding facility also houses comprehensive imaging (MRI and ultrasound), outpatient surgery and rehabilitation services. The center features the same kid-friendly décor and playful philosophy that have helped alleviate the patient experience for children at the hospital’s flagship location in Hollywood.

Wellington Regional is proud to have provided high-quality health care services to the residents of Palm Beach County since 1986. As a community hospital, accredited by The Joint Commission, Wellington Regional prides itself on its continued commitment to remain on the forefront of advanced technologies and expand programs and services to meet the needs of the growing community it serves. In 2018, Wellington Regional opened The Weight Management Center, which provides personalized, physician-directed weight management solutions in a newly renovated facility. The Weight Management Center at WRMC offers customized weight-loss programs, dedicated treatment teams, health coaching, exercise physiologist/fitness instruction and nutrition management. The center includes a community classroom, where support groups and informational sessions are held monthly, and a fitness center. Additionally, Wellington Regional is on the front lines of developing COVID[1]19 therapeutics. As of August 2020, it was one of six sites in the country participating in a phase 2/3 clinical trial of the IV medication Dociparastat Sodium (DSTAT) to determine if it can accelerate recovery and prevent the need for ventilators in patients severely affected by COVID-19. The randomized, double blind, placebo[1]controlled trial will evaluate and determine the safety and efficacy of DSTAT in adults with confirmed COVID19 who require hospitalization and are at high risk for respiratory failure, supplemental oxygen and possible ICU-level care.
